Our friends Steve Kilcullen and Neil McNally of To Live And Let Die LA, the only James Bond social and film club in Los Angeles, has announced that they are organizing seven theatrical screenings of selected James Bond films in 2026. First up is 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, starring George Lazenby as Ian Fleming’s 007, which will be screened on January 27th.

A new podcast series about Roald Dahl (1916-1990) - produced by filmmaker Ron Howard for iHeart - was launched on 19th January 2026. The 11-episode series go deep on Dahl’s friendship with Ian Fleming and their time in The Irregulars (a British spy ring in Washington DC during World War II), as well as Dahl’s experience writing the screenplay for the fifth James Bond film, You Only Live Twice (1967).

From Sweden with Love reader Mark O’Connell has revealed the title and cover for his next book, Bond, Queer Bond: The Fabulous Other History of a Spy. The new book is scheduled for publication on 14th May 2026 by The History Press who previously has published several James Bond related books.

Since 4th December 2025, you can watch the critically acclaimed film on YouTube which had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival 2025. 2026 marks the 20th Anniversary of Casino Royale (2006), Daniel Craig’s first film as Ian Fleming’s James Bond. The film was first released in the UK on 14th November 2006. From Sweden with Love founder Anders Frejdh comments: “I have very fond memories of watching Casino Royale for the first time at a preview screening in London with producer Michael G. Wilson and executive producer Anthony Waye sitting behind me. Following the screening, I thanked and congratulated them for a masterful film.
