Amazon MGM Studios announce that the casting process for the next James Bond actor has begun

Today, Amazon MGM Studios officially announced that the casting process for the next James Bond actor has begun with the experienced British casting director Nina Gold as head of the process. Gold will work with director Denis Villeneuve and producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman over the coming weeks and months to find the next actor to portray Ian Fleming's famous MI6 spy.

The following statement from Amazon MGM Studios was published in their social media channels on 14th May 2026: “The search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”
