A new documentary titled Ian Fleming and the Curse of James Bond is scheduled to premiere on Sky Arts at 10.00pm on 12th May 2026 (repeat on 17th May 2026 at 1.00pm), exploring the life of the Bond creator. Narrated by Helena Bonham Carter with contributors including author William Boyd, who wrote the 2013 Bond novel Solo, and Ian Fleming biographer Nicholas Shakespeare, author of Ian Fleming: The Complete Man.

The documentary is directed by Adam Low and produced by Martin Rosenbaum, in association with James Copp and Herbert Kloiber of Embankment Films, and dives into the life of the iconic author, revealing layers of a man whose life was reportedly as gripping as his famous 007 character.

Note: Embankment Films is currently in pre-production on a new documentary about the late Sir Sean Connery titled Sean Connery: The Untold Story directed by Sir Sean’s granddaughter (by marriage) Stéphanie Renouvin.
