Today, Netflix announced that all of the James Bond films - from 1962’s Dr. No starring Sean Connery to 2021’s No Time To Die starring Daniel Craig - are now available to stream for their subscribers in the US.
As any 007 fan knows, arguing about which Bond is the best is a longstanding tradition. Old heads usually chose the original Bond,
Sean Connery, while their kids are busy writing fanfiction for
Daniel Craig’s more modern interpretation of the infamous spy. But regardless of which Bond you personally like best —
Roger Moore,
Pierce Brosnan,
Timothy Dalton, and
George Lazenby are also options — we can all agree
Ian Fleming’s most famous literary character will take you on an action-packed roller coaster every time. And now with 26 Bond movies streaming on
Netflix, you can relive every
Aston Martin–filled adventure.
Chris Ottinger, Head of Worldwide Distribution at
Amazon MGM Studios, commented the news: “When
Amazon acquired
MGM,
Amazon’s plan was to continue licensing
MGM’s iconic library to streaming and television partners around the world. Bringing these iconic films and shows to Netflix is part of that continued strategy.
James Bond remains one of the most enduring and influential franchises in cinematic history, and alongside other beloved titles in our library like
Hunters among other series, this agreement reflects the continued global appetite for premium storytelling and the strong working relationship we’ve built with Netflix.”
