On this day in James Bond history (1994), Pierce Brosnan was announced as the successor of Timothy Dalton as Ian Fleming's 007 at a special press conference at the Landmark Hotel in London. Two months earlier, on 12th April 1994, Dalton had announced he was stepping away from the role of Bond.

Great news from La-La Land Records with the release of a new limited (5,000 copies) and expanded edition of Thomas Newman's brilliant soundtrack for Spectre (2015) to celebrate the film’s 10th Anniversary. The remastered score can be ordered exclusively from them and the official 007 Store from 4th June 2026. Following the Blu-ray releases of The Man from Hong Kong and A Queen’s Ransom in 2016 and 2024 respectively, Stoner (1974), George Lazenby’s first of three films he made for the Golden Harvest Company, will be available on Blu-Ray for the first time. The Blu-ray edition of the film, originally titled The Shrine of Ultimate Bliss, is released in the US by 88 Films in mid-August 2026.
