Great news for From Sweden with Love as Academy Award winning (for La La Land) Swedish cinematographer Linus Sandgren has confirmed to Indiewire that he will be Director of Photography for Bond 25.
Linus will be joined by Swedish related director Cary Joji Fukunaga (his maternal grandfather is Swedish) who will direct the fourth film starring Daniel Craig as Ian Fleming's agent 007.
And this means that Linus continues the tradition of Swedish elements in the production of James Bond films from EON Productions. This also marks the second time in a short period of time that EON has engaged a Swedish Oscar® winner Per Hallberg as Supervising Sound Editor for both the 2012 film Skyfall (for which he won an Oscar® with Karen Baker Landers) and the 2015 film SPECTRE.
Dutch cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, married to a Swedish woman and living in Stockholm, was Director of Photography on SPECTRE. Small world.
