A CELEBRATION OF BOND GIRL ANNE LONNBERG

Birthday of FSWL supporter Anne Lonnberg who is half Swedish. Over a career spanning 40 years she has worked as model, singer, actress and author. Her most famous film role was in Moonraker (1979) (1979) where she portrayed the museum guide and one of Drax' girls. (Anne shares birthday with Bond girl Denise Richards and actor Rory Kinnear.)

With this page, From Sweden with Love would like to celebrate Anne Lönnberg and thank her again for gracing FSWL's James Bond festival in Stockholm on 19-21 September 2014 where she saw Moonraker for the first time on the big screen since it premiered.

Among Anne's most notable film appearance, besides her parts in Moonraker, is the role as the Swiss photographer in The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) along with famed Swedish actors Lena Olin, Erland Josephson and Stellan Skarsgård.

In February 2012, her second novel (Les Couleurs de la Peur) was published. The first one, Dites-moi Qu'elle Est Vivante, was published in November 2010.

FAN CLUB EVENT WITH 10 MOONRAKER GIRLS

Ten Moonraker (1979) 'Bond girls' will be present at the Club James Bond France exclusive club event at Château Vaux-Le-Vicomte on 14th December 2013.

Tickets are is 125 EUR each. The event kicks off at 11am and finish around 17pm. - THE EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT! (A few tickets excl. brunch is available.)

35 years ago, Château Vaux-Le-Vicomte was used as location for the start of principal photography on Moonraker. Director Lewis Gilbert and the rest of the production team filmed the movie almost entirely in France, every Parisian studio was used for the film, the biggest Bond up to that point.

• 11 Aug 1978: Principal photography began with scenes at Drax’s pyramid (built at Pinewood)
• 29 Aug 1978: Lewis Gilbert shot Bond trying out the centrifuge trainer

AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH ANNE LÖNNBERG

From Sweden with Love (Anders Frejdh), with help from Enlil Albanna of Cinewebradio in France, caught up with the gorgeous Swedish-American actress, singer and author Anne Lönnberg to talk about her career, and in particular her work on Moonraker (1979) (1979).

About Anne Lönnberg:
Anne Lonnberg was born in California, USA to a Swedish father in 1949. She began acting in the 1960's, mostly in Greek films. She has had supporting roles in a number of American and French films and television series.

Lonnberg is best remembered for playing the museum guide and one of Hugo Drax' (played by Michael Lonsdale) girls in Eon Productions' eleventh James Bond film adventure, Moonraker (1979). Her last film role was in The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988).

Lonnberg also had a short singing career during the 1970's. She had one LP released, Same (Riviera, 1970), and two SP's, L'enfant Qui Lui Ressemble (Polydor, 1976) and Le Silence Après Le Cri (Polydor, 1977).

In February 2012, her second novel (Les Couleurs de la Peur) was published. The first one, Dites-moi Qu'elle Est Vivante, was published in November 2010.

Unfortunately, Lonnberg never picked up Swedish from her father, but she is fluent in both English and French.

From Sweden with Love (FSWL) is entirely dedicated to Agent 007 and his creator Ian Fleming. We have been studying the phenomenon for more than 30 years.
