The Irish girl in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE 1969

The first time I had the opportunity to chat with Jenny Hanley, a very nice lady in real life, was at NEC in Birmingham in 2005.

Jenny is very sweet and charming towards fans including yours sincerely.

About Jenny Hanley:
Jenny Hanley was born into a showbiz family. Her mother is Dinah Sheridan, and father the late Jimmy Hanley.

One of her very first acting jobs was being a 'Bond girl'!

Director Peter Hunt cast Jenny as one of Blofeld's Angels Of Death, in the mountain top set of Piz Gloria, 'the Irish Girl', in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).

The part lead to a string of guest roles in popular tv shows such as The Persuaders (1971-1972) and Return of the Saint (1978), as well as film roles in Scars Of Dracula (1970) starring Christopher Lee, Soft Beds, Hard Battles (1974) starring Peter Sellers, Percy's Progress (1974) with Bond alumni Julie Ege, Bernard Lee and Madeline Smith in supporting roles.

For millions of children, she became one of the most popular faces on afternoon television as a host of the long running Magpie show from 1974 to 1980. She also hosted the popular BBC Saturday Night at the Mill (1980-1981).
