Franz Sanchez in LICENCE TO KILL 1989
I first met the talented Italian-American actor Robert Davi in New York (November 2007) during a James Bond symposium at Hofstra University titled The World of 007.
Mr Davi actually attended Hofstra University in the 1970’s and I believe it was nice for him to come back and share his memories from being cast as Bond villain and a lsuccessful film career spanning 30 years, almost 70 films and nearly 30 TV series.
He told great stories and anecdotes from the filming of
Licence to Kill (1989) and turned out to be a really great and wonderful person. Very friendly, cool and shared unforgettable anecdotes any Bond fan would have loved to hear! He made it the top of the list among the friendliest Bond related personalities I have met over the years.
Thanks for everything, Robert. You are awesome! And best of luck with your new film ("The Dukes") which I hope to see when it becomes available in Sweden. (The film is Davi’s first as a director.)
