2nd Unit Director on For Your Eyes Only (1981), Octopussy (1983), A View to a Kill (1985), The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence to Kill (1989). Additional Unit Director on GoldenEye (1995), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002).
The first time I met the talented
Arthur Wooster was at Pinewood Studios in July 2007.
About working on
The Living Daylights, Arthur Wooster said:
"Jumping out of a Hercules was relatively straight forward, it was the landing that was challenging because it is very inhospitable terrain.
B.J. Worth and his boys had quite a tricky job."
"They sent Timothy to me and I had a message from Cubby [Broccoli], John [Glen] and Michael [Wilson] saying - don't damage him."
"We got him on top of the jeep and I said: All we want, Tim, is just some nice big close ups of you. Tim then said: Oh but I can do it, I can, I can swing around you know?. I replied: Tim, I just want some close ups of you, we don't want... And he was so keen throwing himself around and throwing himself off the side of the truck and my old heart was going like this."
Arthur is now a retired member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians (GBCT).
Many thanks Arthur! It was wonderful to chat with you.
