Damaging explosion on the set of Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios

During the filming of a controlled explosion on the set of Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios on 4th June 2019, damage was caused to the exterior of the famous 007 Stage. But, luckily, there were no injuries on set, however one crew member outside the stage has sustained a minor injury.

About the film


Principal photography on the 25th James Bond film from EON Productions began on 28th April 2019 in Jamaica. The film is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig who returns for his fifth film as Ian Fleming’s 007.

Metro Goldwyn Mayer will release the film in America through their United Artists Releasing banner on 8th April 2020; through Universal Pictures International and Metro Goldwyn Mayer in the UK and internationally from April 3, 2020.

Returning cast members include Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), Léa Seydoux (Madeline Swann), Ben Whishaw (Q) and Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter).

New names include Cuban actress Ana de Armas, French actor Dali Benssalah, Swedish actor David Dencik, British actress Lashana Lynch, American actor Billy Magnussen and American Academy Award winning actor Rami Malek.

Bond 25 synopsis


Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

The production is based at Pinewood Studios in England with location filming in London, Italy, Jamaica and Norway.
