Barbara Broccoli recipient of CSA Lifetime Achievement Award

James Bond film producer Barbara Broccoli and Wonder Woman and Blade Runner 2049 casting director Lucina Syson received Casting Society of America (CSA) UK Artios Awards at an event in London on 31 January 2019 in conjunction with the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA).
The
Artios Awards always take place in Los Angeles and New York but for the first time the CSA European Branch joined BIFA at the Most Promising Newcomer Dinner and presented UK awards to
Lucina Syson for excellence in casting and producer
Barbara Broccoli with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The event took take place the same night as the CSA awards in the U.S.
CSA's Vice-President,
Rich Mento, commented:
“Unrivalled creativity, unique vision and professional commitment – these qualities make Lucinda Syson and Barbara Broccoli the perfect honourees for our inaugural ceremony in London. Barbara Broccoli said:
“There is no job for me that is too small or too big. Get those pitches ready...!”
Barbara and the rest of the production team at EON Productions is currently hard at work prepping Bond 25 which is scheduled to commence filming at Pinewood Studios in a not too distant future.
