In Memoriam of MGM Distribution Head Erik Lomis (1958-2023)

FSWL is sad to report the passing of Erik Lomis, distribution head for MGM who distributes the James Bond films, who left us on 15th December 2022. Our thoughts are now with his family.

Erik Lomis oversaw the distribution of many 007 films including GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), Die Another Day (2002) and No Time To Die (2021) as well as many other films from MGM.

James Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions said in a statement:

“We are absolutely devastated by the sudden loss of our dearest and most loyal friend Erik Lomis. He was a fierce supporter of theatrical distribution and handled each film with passion and care. He is irreplaceable. A part of the industry has died with him today.”
