Skyfall (2012) is nominated for 7 Saturn Awards prizes (given out by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films) at the 39th annual show scheduled to take place in June.

Before the Saturn Awards, Skyfall has won an award for Best Cinematography (to Roger Deakins) from The Los Angeles Film Critics Association, a Golden Globe to Adele for Best Original Song, and two BAFTA awards for Outstanding British Film (to Sam Mendes, Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, John Logan) & one for Original Music (to Thomas Newman).

The seven Saturn Awards nominations for SKYFALL are:

• Best Action / Adventure - WINNER!
• Best Actor (Daniel Craig) - Matthew McConaughey got the award for his role in "Killer Joe"
• Best Supporting Actor (Javier Bardem) - Clark Gregg got the award for his role in Marvel’s "The Avengers"
• Best Supporting Actress (Judi Dench) - Anne Hathaway got the award for her role in "The Dark Knight Rises"
• Best Editing (Stuart Baird, Kate Baird) - Alexander Berner got the award for his work on "Cloud Atlas"
• Best Music (Thomas Newman) - Danny Elfman got the award for his work on "Frankenweenie"
• Best Make Up (Naomi Donne, Donald Mowat, Love Larson) - Heike Merker, Daniel Parker and Jeremy Woodhead got the award for their work on "Cloud Atlas"

Skyfall is also nominated to FIVE Academy Awards at the show taking place in Los Angeles on February 24 with Adele performing the Skyfall theme song.

Editor's note:
Love Larson joins Per Hallberg as the second Swede who worked on the film ending up being nominated for an award. (Per is nominated for an Academy Award in the category Best Sound Editing.)
