Special screenings of Sean Connery's James Bond films during Edinburgh Film Festival

Visit this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival and catch James Bond on the big screen at Filmhouse Edinburgh with a special strand of the six original Bond films starring the late Sir Sean Connery. Sacred Bonds includes 4K restorations of Dr. No (1962), From Russia with Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice (1967) and Diamonds Are Forever (1971).

Featuring daring stunts, elaborate set pieces and iconic theme songs, these quintessential Bond films are presented in new restorations and introduced by members of Sean Connery's family and special guests.

The festival will be screening the original six James Bond 007 films at Filmhouse Edinburgh everyday of the festival.

These new 4K restorations of the quintessential Bond films are presented on the big screen and introduced by members of the Connery family and special guests:


• Friday 15th August | Dr. No with an introduction from Jason Connery
• Saturday 16th August | From Russia With Love with an introduction from Samara Connery and Steven Saltzman
• Sunday 17th August | Goldfinger with an introduction from Dashiell Connery
• Monday 18th August | Thunderball with an introduction from Jason Connery and From Sweden with Love contributor Simon Firth
• Tuesday 19th August | You Only Live Twice with an introduction from journalist Christina Newland
• Wednesday 20th August | Diamonds Are Forever with an introduction from Jason Connery and director Douglas Mackinnon
