On 19-21 June 2024, FSWL reader Martijn Mulder of On The Tracks Of 007 organises a James Bond event in the South of France to celebrate Never Say Never Again (1983) and the many Bond connections in the Côte d'Azur.

Meet fellow fans & friends from the 007 fan community, enjoy drinks together, visit iconic locations in Antibes, Villefranche, Monaco and Menton and top it off with a wonderful gala evening at the spectacular outdoor venue at the Villefranche Citadelle (Palmyra exterior location)!

The focus will be on the French filming of Never Say Never Again with the presence of VIP guest Barbara Carrera who portrayed Fatima Blush in the film. This marks her first appearance at a Bond event, ever!

The other VIP guest is American stuntman Mike Runyard, who doubled Sean Connery in all the motorbike chase scenes and stunts in the film.

Reuniting Barbara and Mike after 41 years will surely generate some great stories and anecdotes, and staging a photo-opportunity at the Darse port where the car chase ended will be a unique experience for all.

The event is hosted by On the tracks of 007, The Bond Experience and Club James Bond France in co-operation with Citadelle Villefranche-Sur-Mer, UNICEF UK, 007GB The British James Bond Fan Club, James Bond Club Deutschland, James Bond Club Schweiz and From Sweden With Love.
