Two-time Bond girl and From Sweden with Love supporter Martine Beswicke is publishing her memoir book On My Way on 14th December 2024. The foreword is written by Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015) screenwriter John Logan.
Martine Beswicke was born in Jamaica as
Mary Rose Penso Beswick. From a very early age, it was her dream to be an actress. She moved to London in her early teens to begin a career in modelling. During the swinging sixties, Martine - a wild child from an early age - indulged in all that the city offered and various encounters helped her acting career to slowly take shape. In 1963, she was cast as the fighting gypsy girl in the James Bond film,
From Russia with Love.

Terence Young, the director, became her champion and in 1965 insisted she be cast as the island girl Paula, in
Thunderball (1965). This led to the career that she dreamed of.
Hammer came calling to cast her in
One Million Years BC (1966), where she met and fell in love with the leading man,
John Richardson. Eventually moving to Hollywood, her career continued apace.
