James Bond Day 2019 has brought us the first teaser poster for No Time To Die (2020) featuring Daniel Craig from a photo by acclaimed set photographer Greg Williams. The poster design is from Empire Design who also designed the Spectre posters.
For us fans who have been following the development of this movie for a few years now, the poster is something that we have been expecting.
What is more important here is that for the general public, this poster may be their first inkling that James Bond is coming back to the big screen.
It's like that movie
Inception, a seed is planted in peoples’ minds that will eventually grow into some big idea. That idea will be the desire to see what looks to be an awesome new James Bond film.
This poster hits on a lot of those subconscious elements that draw people to Bond.
We see 007 in a razor-sharp tuxedo, probably by
Tom Ford. The dinner jacket is shawl collared by the way, different from the usual notch lapel that Bond usually wears.
We get a glimpse of a cool new
Omega watch. Its not clear what model it is but rest assured that we are going to see Omega ads touting it in the near future.
The blue wall promises some sort of exotic location which is synonymous with the James Bond series.
We also see the re-tooled
United Artists logo along with the
MGM logo. Also visible on some posters is the
Universal Studios logo, reminding us that a new studio is involved with this film.
In all though, we get Daniel Craig as James Bond. The media keeps telling us that this will be his final film. Whether that is true or not is debatable.
What is not debatable is that James Bond will soon be back!
