Casino Concierge in DR NO 1962
I was very happy to meet this gentleman at Autographica over the weekend of March 3-4 in 2007 as it turned he was an extra-ordinary kind and friendly man (like his wife Linda).
Although it was some time since he appeared in the most classic of Bond scenes in the casino at the beginning of the Bond film he happily shared some of his memories from the shooting.
Among things he told me was that Bernard Lee, who played 007’s boos ‘M’ in the same film, was one of his personal friends as well.
Not only is Mr Morgan an actor but he is also a world known best-selling author and has written 40 books! Many of which is translated into other languages such as Swedish.
Peter Janson-Smith was his first literary agent when in 1969 Stanley’s first Russ Tobin book ‘The Sewing Machine Man’ was published. (Mr Janson-Smith’s agency represented Stanley for the first ten books published by Granada.)
It was an honour to have two of his books inscribed.
Thank you very much Stanley, a pleasure to meet you!
Over the years, we have kept in touch and in April 2007 I interviewed him. Click on the link below to read the full interview:
