Pavel Douglas GoldenEye
French Warship Captain in GOLDENEYE 1995

The first time I met the multi-talented Pavel Douglas was at Pinewood Studios in November 2011.

Douglas turned out to be a very nice chap and shared some anecdotes from his time on GoldenEye (1995) during an interview.

About Pavel Douglas:
He is an alumnus of East 15 Acting School, has been a member of The Natural Theatre Company in Bath since 1976 as an Actor and Director, is a founder member of Fine Artistes and is a regular contributor to the Script Factory at the Ustinov Theatre in Bath.

Behind the cameras he worked extensively in the Costume Departments of Thames Television and HTV. As a Theatre Director he has worked in England, France, and the USA.

Theatre credits include The Edinburgh Traverse, The Lindsay Kemp Troupe, Glasgow Citizens, Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Sheffield Crucible, Wessex Opera, Hampstead Theatre, The Tobacco Factory - Bristol, The Rondo Theatre - Bath, The Ustinov - Bath, and The Bristol Old Vic.

Pavel is also a Presenter and Compere, and as one of the UK's leading Audio Artistes is, among other things, the voice of 'Big Ears' and 'PC Plod' in the daily MAKE WAY FOR NODDY on British Channel 5.

He has had Guest Star billing in various feature films including 'Charles Devon' in Passport to Murder (1993) for NBC, 'Edouard Astier' in Tattle Tale (1992) for HBO/Canal Plus, and of course 'The French Warship Captain' in GoldenEye (1995) directed by Martin Campbell for EON/United Artists.

In Driven (1994) directed by Bharat Nalluri he played the psychotic killer 'Doc', and in 2007 the French conman 'Louis' in Out There directed by Ed McGown for White Light Films.

As a fluent French speaker he co-starred in INTRIGUES, a two-hander Play for Today on French Television.
