Miniatures, model effects, special effects and visual effects supervisor on nine James Bond films
Special effects maestro John Richardson is a lovely and modest man in real life, something all guests at FSWL's James Bond festival got to experience in September 2014.
As the son of British special effects veteran Cliff Richardson (1905-1985), John followed the footsteps of his famed father and entered the film industry in the 1960's.
During his time in the business, Richardson has worked on more than 100 films (incl. nine James Bonds and six Harry Potter films) and a couple of television series and earned numerous nominations for various awards. Six nominations for an Academy Award (won one for Aliens), nine nominations for a BAFTA Award (won for both Aliens and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2) and 11 nominations (one for Moonraker) for a Saturn Award (won for Starship Troopers).
