A celebration of the lovely Bérénice Marlohe, who portrayed Bond girl Severine in Skyfall (2012) (2012) opposite Daniel Craig, on her birthday.

With this page, From Sweden with Love would like to celebrate the work of the French actress.

"Cher Bérénice, joyeux anniversaire et beaucoup d'amour de la Suède."

About Bérénice Marlohe:
Born 1979 in Paris, Marlohe has always had artistic passion. After receiving a BAC + 5 at a French university of Arts, Marlohe was introduced to an acting agent – and found she had talents that surpassed what she studied in school.

Born to a Cambodian and Chinese father and a French mother, Marlohe has an exceptional and unique look that allowed her to stand out as an actor. She began to appear on several French TV series including Pas de Secrets Entre Nous (2008), Femmes de Loi (2008), Section de Recherche (2008), Père et Maire (2009), R.I.S. (2009, 2012), and Équipe Médicale D'urgence (2010).

Marlohe has also played roles in the French TV movies Le Temps Est à L'orage (2009) and Le Pigeon (2010). After appearing in the French features L'art de Séduire (2011) and Un Bonheur N'arrive Jamais Seul (2012), the latter starring Bond girl Sophie Marceau, Marlohe decided it was time to pursue acting in full-force and expand her repertoire beyond projects based only in France.

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the National Film Society Awards 2013 for her role in SKYFALL.

After the Bond adventure, Marlohe took a break from filming but returned in the 2014 romantic comedy 5 to 7 opposite Anton Yelchin. Later this year, she can be seen in the sci-fi film Revolt.

Next year, she will appear in Weightless alongside Benicio Del Toro who played Dario in the 1989 Bond film Licence to Kill.

Bérénice currently resides in USA and much like FSWL, her favourite actor is Christopher Walken.

"I love independent movies. You can really have freedom to create and work closely with directors and producers, without having big studio requirements. You have more space to explore your own artistic universe."

Editor's note:
In conjunction with the premiere of SKYFALL in London, Sony Pictures graciously invited FSWL to interview Bérénice Marlohe, a wonderful person in real life.
