Our friends at MI6 Confidential have announced their first 100-page special publication: Live and Let Die - The Peter Lamont Portfolio. In this special publication, Oscar-winning production designer Peter Lamont reflects on the making of Roger Moore's first James Bond adventure.
Peter Lamont spent more than 40 years working in art departments of the James Bond films. From draughtsman to production designer; from
Goldfinger (1964) to
Casino Royale (2006), Peter worked on every picture but one. One of the films for which he has collected a great deal of documents and has many fond memories is
Roger Moore's debut as 007,
Live and Let Die.
A lot of that material could not be squeezed into his recent autobiography, The Man With The Golden Eye, so Peter turned to the team behind MI6 Confidential.
In this special 100-page perfect bound edition of MI6 Confidential magazine, Peter tells the story of making the film, location by location, as they appear in the film.
In This Special Issue:
• A personal dedication to
Sir Roger Moore from Peter Lamont
• More than 50 of Lamont's never-before-printed behind the scenes stills
• Over 25 documents, storyboards and ephemera from the production
• A richly illustrated narrative with stories behind the scenes
• Peter's memories of characters like
Derek Meddings,
Harry Saltzman,
Syd Cain and Roger Moore
