Cinema Retro Becoming Bond
A preview of the 64-page issue #43 (season 15) of Cinema Retro, THE essential guide to films of the 1960's, 1970's & 1980's from FSWL readers Lee Pfeiffer and Dave Worrall. The new issue will be shipped to all subscribers at the beginning of January 2019.

The first issue of Cinema Retro for 2019 celebrates the 50th anniversary of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) with a 5-page photo gallery of actor George Lazenby "Becoming Bond" with rare behind-the-scenes images.

Content in issue 43 of Cinema Retro include

• A 14-page 50th Anniversary special tribute dedicated to Mackenna's Gold (1969), a blockbuster western that didn't quite make the grade.
• Dawn Dabell remembers Hayley Mills' 'coming of age' in The Family Way (1966)
• Brian Davidson discusses what he believes to be Britain's only giallo – Assault (1976)
• John V. Watson recalls 1971: A Year of Violent Cinema, featuring The Devils (1971), A Clockwork Orange (1971), Get Carter (1971), Dirty Harry (1971), Villain (1971) and Straw Dogs (1971)
• Cair Ross talks to director Peter Medak about the Peter Sellers' film Ghost in the Noonday Sun (19).
• A look-back on the career of Virginia Maskell
• James Bond continuation author Raymond Benson continues to explore cinema history

And the regular DVD, soundtrack and movie book reviews, makes for a great start to the new year!
