While researching his book "In Cold Blood", flamboyant and homosexual writer Truman Capote develops a close relationship with convicted murderers Dick Hickock and Perry Smith. Smith is a dangerous man who along with his partner-in-crime, Richard Hickock, shot and killed a family of four, with an almost unreal cynicism and without any motive.
