The first official stills of Timothy Dalton (James Bond in the 1987 film The Living Daylights and 1989's Licence to Kill, both directed by John Glen) as Donald Whitfield in the new series 1923 (a Yellowstone prequel) has been released by Paramount Plus. Tim looks as cool as he did when he played 007. (In the Nordic countries, the series can be seen on SkyShowtime where the first episode is released on 16th January 2023.)
1923 is a new American Western drama television series that premiered on 18th December 2022, on Paramount Plus. The series is a prequel to the Paramount Network series Yellowstone and serves as a sequel to the series 1883. The series is set to run for two seasons with eight episodes each. The first is divided into two parts, with the second season premiering on 5th February 2023.
James Bond actor Timothy Dalton first appear as Donald Whitfield in the fourth episode of the first season which was released on 8th January 2023.
Dalton's character, Donald Whitfield, is described as an influential and wealthy man used to having his own way.

Dalton is most known for being the fourth actor to portray Ian Fleming's 007 following Sean Connery, George Lazenby and Roger Moore.
In recent years, he's portrayed Niles Caulder/Chief in the HBO Max series Doom Patrol (2019-2021), and was the voice of Lord Demanitus on the Disney Channel series Tangled (2019-2020). He's also known as the voice of Mr. Pricklepants in the Toy Story franchise.
