FSWL is happy to report that Swedish actress and two-time Bond girl Mary Stavin has completed filming on Barking Mad, a new film (due for release in the second part of 2018) written and directed by Charles Dennis which also marks Mary's return to acting after raising her daughter. Apart from Mary, Swedish actor Micke Spreitz also appears in the film which mark his American screen debut.
In the film,
Mary Stavin is reunited with
Brent Huff who she co-starred with in two back to back movies in the 1980s,
Strike Commando 2 (1988) and
Born to Fight (1989).
Official synopsis
Clive Atwill (portrayed by
Neil Dickson) is hired to escort an eccentric heiress from Los Angeles to Montecito. When the woman disappears at a gas station, Atwill is drawn into a web of intrigue.
(
Micke Spreitz, internationally famed after portraying Lisbeth Salander's murderous half-brother Ronald Niederman in Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy, plays mournful Swedish dentist Torsten Lindblum in the film.)
Shooting began on 9th October 2017 with an extraordinary cast including legendary
Edward Asner as well as
Kate Vernon,
Michael Swan,
Lou Wagner,
Mauricio Mendoza,
Patty McCormack and
Fred Melamed.
The film, with a soundtrack by Maxwell Sterling, is produced by
Lisa-Ulrika Vingsbo. Director of Photography was Michael Rangeloff.
