Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster to visit Stockholm

Marc Forster, A Man Called Otto, Director

Not long after Skyfall and Spectre director Sam Mendes were in town, FSWL can report that Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster will come to Stockholm for the gala premiere on 13th December of A Man Called Otto starring Tom Hanks (who will also come). Marc Forster previously visited Stockholm in 2008 to launch QOS together with Daniel Craig and Olga Kurylenko. SF Studios Sweden is the main producer and has fully financed A Man Called Otto, which is thus the largest Swedish film production ever.

SF Studios long-awaited major venture A Man Called Ove will be released at Swedish cinemas on 13th January 2023. Tom Hank's opponent in the film, Mariana Treviño, will also attend the gala premiere as well as producers Fredrik Wikström Nicastro and Rita Wilson.

The film is a life-affirming drama comedy about love and unexpected friendships and is based on Fredrik Backman's best-selling book A Man Called Ove and the Swedish hit film from 2015 with the same name. Sony Pictures handles Global Distribution and SF Studios distributes the film in the Nordic countries.

SF Studios is the main producer and has fully financed this English-language film, a production that has attracted the greatest talents from Hollywood. Director Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace, The Kite Runner, Christoffer Robin, Monster’s Ball) and screenwriter David Magee (Finding Neverland, Life of Pi) are internationally acclaimed in the film industry and has previously collaborated for the BAFTA and Oscar nominated film Finding Neverland.
