Today, June 23, 2011, the first three John Gardner 007 novels are republished in the UK.
Swordfish, the new imprint of Orion Publishing Group, have released new editions of John Gardner's first three classic James Bond continuation novels in the UK today.
Featuring the original cover art, the first three titles -
Licence Renewed,
For Special Services and
Icebreaker - are published in a distinctive new livery today (hardback, £16.99 each/eBooks at £8.99 each).
All fourteen of John Gardner's James Bond books will be republished by Orion in the UK
(The first five titles in hardback, featuring their original covers. The rest will be released in paperback in 2012, as a stunning, redesigned collection.)
For the US market,
Pegasus Books will publish the first three John Gardner titles in newly-designed paperback in October, 2011 which will feature introductions from luminaries in the literary world of Bond;
Licence Renewed (introduction by James Bond continuation author Raymond Benson),
For Special Services (introduction by Otto Penzler, proprietor of The Mysterious Bookshop in New York) and
Icebreaker (introduction by John's son, Simon Gardner).
The first three US editions of John Gardner's Bond novels will be followed by a complete re-issue of all 14 titles in the US.
