James Bond's shadow shined at the 2012 BAFTA Awards at London's Royal Opera House on 12 February 2012. Tom Jones opened up the event singing Thunderball to rapturous applause. This year's 50th Anniversary of Dr No will certainly bring a lot of celebrations around the world.
Recently Academy Award nominated Max von Sydow was in attendance presenting acclaimed director Martin Scorsese with this year's Fellowship.
John Richardson, who has worked on several of the Bonds, won a BAFTA (along with David Vickery, Greg Butler, and Tim Burke) for Special Visual Effects on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2". (John Richardson, David Vickery, Greg Butler, and Tim Burke are also nominated for an Academy Award for their work on this film.)
