Ian Fleming Tribute In Fine Books Collections

The Spring issue of Fine Books and Collections is out featuring an article on The Birth of Bond (Ian Fleming's Casino Royale at 60), just in time for the festivities for the 60th anniversary of the Literary James Bond at University of Illinois.
In 1952,
Ian Fleming started to write his first James Bond novel,
Casino Royale (first published on April 13, 1953), and told a friend:
"I am going to write the spy story to end all spy stories."
The rest, as they say, is history . . .
Thanks to our friend Mike VanBlaricum, president of
The Ian Fleming Foundation, for the alert.
