In a PM from Miss Moneypenny's desk in London, Ian Fleming Publications offer signed copies of the paperback edition of Nicholas Shakespeare’s insightful biography Ian Fleming: The Complete Man originally published in hardback in October 2023. Classification: Gold level (For Your Eyes Only)
The message reads...
“To our agents in the field,
I write to you today bearing both good news and bad, as is often the way of these things.
Firstly – the good. To celebrate next week’s paperback publication of
Nicholas Shakespeare’s insightful biography
Ian Fleming: The Complete Man,
Ian Fleming Publications have pulled some strings to offer you access to versions of the paperback signed by the author himself. Strictly limited to 250 copies, make sure to get your order in sharpish.
>Order your copy here
Onto the bad. I’ve been informed that there has been a delay with production of the new 007 hardback editions, designed by
Michael Gillette, and thus the publication date has been moved back to October 17th. M was cagey as usual about the details, but I gather from the powder-vine that it may have something to do with either a prosaic production problem or robotic, book-eating sharks sent by SPECTRE. We think the latter.
Ian Fleming Publications were very apologetic about the delay, but I’m confident that the finished copies will be worth the wait. If you haven’t yet explored these opulent new editions, you can take a look here.
Sincerely,
Miss Moneypenny”
