In a PM from Miss Moneypenny's desk in London, Ian Fleming Publications celebrates author Ian Fleming's birthday with a new announcement for all James Bond readers. Classification: Gold level (For Your Eyes Only)
The message reads as follows...
“To our agents in the field,
Today marks the birthday of
Ian Fleming. With the publication of
Casino Royale (1953) and the proceeding James Bond stories, Ian Fleming changed spy fiction forever. Please join us in raising a glass of Old Grand-Dad, Taittinger or just strong black coffee to the man, the husband, the father and the writer.
To celebrate the day, Ian Fleming Publications are finally shedding more light on the upcoming hardcover collection of all the 007 books. All fourteen books will be released on October 3rd and each will feature bonus material, revealing top secret intel.

All agents must wear the finest tailoring and, likewise, all books must be suitably attired. Therefore
Ian Fleming Publications are proud to reveal that the cover art will be designed by none other than
Michael Gillette. Michael was responsible for the iconic covers that accompanied the centenary hardbacks and the team could not be more excited to be partnering with him once again. The covers will be unveiled shortly but be assured they will be of impeccable taste, like all things Ian Fleming.
Michael shared this 007 image as a taste of what’s to come:

It was a bank holiday in the UK this week, but an agent never sleeps, especially when we have a good book in our hands. On my bedside table currently – next to my
Nanna Ditzel watch - is
A Spy Like Me and the new releases of
On His Majesty’s Secret Service and
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. However, I think there is space for a few more... The new hardbacks – with holding covers – are available to pre-order now.
What books are on your bedside table? The correct answer is books on espionage, warfare, whisky and ornithology.
Sincerely,
Miss Moneypenny
P.S. You're reminded of the following events at which an undercover presence is required:
5th-7th June - Author
Charlie Higson at Idler Festival, Hampstead
15th June - Illustrator
Thomas Gilbert at Red Lion Books, Colchester
16th June -
