Hard Cut Vodka, a bold new entrant to the premium spirits market, was crafted as an adventure-seeking, 90 Proof, ultra-smooth potato vodka for a vodka world gone "soft." Launched by the legendary action star Dolph Lundgren, Hard Cut Vodka combines Idaho quality potatoes with crisp water from the Rocky Mountains to make the ultimate all-American vodka.

The Hard Cut Vodka name was derived from the term "Hard Cut" in filmmaking, which is often used to move the story forward. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails, Hard Cut Vodka will be the new undisputed champion of the category.

“From earning my Master's in Chemical Engineering, to taking on Rocky on the big screen, I've always believed in pushing the limits, striving for the best in all I do,” says Dolph Lundgren, Founder and Chairman of Hard Cut Vodka. “My wife, Emma, and I enjoy vodka on the rocks, and after trying dozens of brands, we decided we needed to create the perfect liquid for a vodka world gone soft. Enter Hard Cut Vodka.”

Known for his iconic roles in films like Rocky IV and The Expendables, Dolph Lundgren brings his larger-than-life persona to Hard Cut Vodka as both Founder and Chairman. After developing the idea with his wife and Co-Founder, Emma Krokdal, Dolph partnered with celebrated global bartender, Philip Duff, who serves as Director of Vodka. Duff trained Dolph to become the new heavy weight champ of vodka, a vodka that delivers both exceptional liquid and a compelling story. Dolph also worked with industry veteran, Steve Luttmann, to build Hard Cut.

“We're not here to follow the herd,” says CEO Steve Luttmann. “We set out to craft a spirit that truly stands apart, delivering strong character and a refined finish. Strong, smooth, and doesn't take itself too seriously—just like Dolph.”

Hard Cut Vodka is American-made and distilled in Idaho from premium potatoes and Rocky Mountain water. Its award-winning flavor profile already earned a prestigious Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The high starch content from the potato-based vodka contributes to a fuller body and a more refined, silky texture, exactly what Dolph was seeking for sipping and in premium vodka cocktails. Hard Cut Vodka has notes of crisp green apple, with hints of fennel bulb, roasted potato, and butterscotch. It impresses with an assertive, rich, creamy palate, progressing seamlessly into a lengthy, smooth finish.

Hard Cut Vodka (SRP 29.99 USD) comes in a sleek 700ml bottle and will be available nationally direct to consumer through Flaviar.com. Hard Cut Vodka will be rolling out in California with BevMo throughout March. Hard Cut Vodka will continue to strategically launch key markets in the US throughout 2025. Hard Cut Vodka has partnered with BAR Brands, a national wine & spirits industry consulting company, to lead their commercial efforts. Hard Cut Vodka has aligned with Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits as their preferred distribution partner in the US.
