Sam Smith follows Adele and performs at Ericsson Globe arena (part of Stockholm Live) on 19th April 2018. In addition to both singing a theme song for a James Bond movie (Sam for the 2015 film SPECTRE and Adele for 2012's Skyfall) they also share the honour of having won an Academy Award for their contribution to the 007 phenomenon.
Back in October 2012, when Sam Smith introduced himself to the outside world by singing the chorus of Disclosures single "Latch", it became clear that he was a singer beyond the usual. The rest is modern pop history!
The long awaited debut album "In The Lonely Hour" (2014) as well as the hit singles "Money On My Mind" and "Stay With Me" topped charts around the world - including the number one spot of the Swedish album list. The change was total, from having played in Bråvalla Festivals' smallest scene in the summer of 2014, the emotional singer from London, when the year was to be summed up, sold unmatched 12 million records and accounted for the biggest breakthrough in the year. Of just the speed, Sam Smith also picked up four, highly deserved, American Grammy® prizes.
In February 2016, Sam was awarded with an Oscar® for his symphonic song "Writing's On The Wall" - the theme song for Spectre.
When Sam Smith released his song "Too Good At Goodbyes" earlier this fall, he had his biggest single hit in Sweden, and at the same time he was looking forward to increasing the expectations of the new "The Thrill of It All" song, released November 3.
With the new album behind him, Sam Smith has decided to come to Stockholm. Count on one of 2018 year's absolute concert highlights!
