Internationally renowned stuntman Paul Weston gives a glimpse behind the scenes of film & television, sharing stories from his 50 years in the business, including work on James Bond films, Star Wars, Aliens and Superman.
To open the festival week,
GATA (Guildford Amateur Theatre Association) is thrilled to welcome
Paul Weston to The Electric Theatre.
A Life in Stunts gives a glimpse behind the scenes of television and film sets as Paul shares stories from his years in the business, including work on eleven James Bond films (
Casino Royale,
Live and Let Die,
The Man with the Golden Gun,
The Spy Who Loved Me,
Moonraker,
For Your Eyes Only,
Octopussy,
The Living Daylights,
Licence to Kill,
Skyfall and
SPECTRE), the Star Wars franchise and Aliens ... to name only a few!
Paul has danced with
Charlie Chaplin, sung with
The Beatles and been hit over the head with a bottle by
Prince Charles. He's been a stunt double for Superman (
Christopher Reeve), raided a lost ark and even written a song for
Jack Jones.
Stuntman, stunt co-ordinator and 2nd unit director, Paul will share both anecdotes and stunt secrets as he talks about his life and career.
Fresh from working with
Tom Cruise on
The Mummy (and currently working on
Transformers 5), Paul will only be in Guildford for one evening, so make sure you book early for this fantastic event.
