The Fanatics is a new UK series on Sky One where experts in various fields compete in the country's toughest tv quiz to date. (FSWL founder Anders Frejdh won the Swedish version of The Fanatics in 2013, Fantasterna on TV4, as one of five contestants in the James Bond topic.)
In the 8 episode series, produced by
Victory Television for Sky 1, the specialists will shine in diverse areas within their special subjects. Over a series of rounds three contestants will have to demonstrate incredible powers of recall, observation, dexterity and an unprecedented level of knowledge of their chosen subject. The show is hosted by
Baz Ashmawy of
50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy fame.
Baz Ashmawy comments: "I'm very excited to have worked on
The Fanatics. I loved the vision that Sky and the production team at Victory had for the show. It's a quirky fun show with wonderfully warm, interesting and slightly obsessive contestants. Had lots of fun making it!"
In addition to the honour, the winners receives great prizes. For more, read the
press release.
