About Shane Rimmer: (official biography)
Shane Rimmer was born in Toronto, Canada.

After a successful singing career in Canadian Radio and TV he was brought to England in the mid 1950's by Director Dick Lester, to appear as a singer in an ITV Network Special. He returned briefly to Canada to feature in a Canadian film Flaming Frontier, before marrying an English dancer and making London his home. He has featured in over 50 films in the UK and Europe, and has appeared in numerous TV roles.

His first major film appearance was in Stanley Kubrick's Dr Stangelove as Co-Pilot ACE. From there he went on to roles in Star Wars and three James Bond Productions - You Only Live Twice (1967), Diamonds Are Forever (1971) and The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

These were followed by Superman 2 and Superman 3, The People That Time Forgot, Warlords of Atlantis, Rollerball, Gandhi, Out of Africa, White Knights, Space Truckers, whoops Apocalypse, Reds and many more.

Shane is a legend in the world of Gerry Anderson Productions, providing one of the most recognizable voices in Supermarionation history for Thunderbirds' Scott Tracy.

He is also the voice of Dick Spanner P.I. in the cartoon series of the same name. He has appeared in episodes of Space 1999 and UFO, written and appeared in The Protectors and The Persuaders and has written several episodes of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Joe 90, and The Secret Service.

National Theatre Productions include True West, Guys & Dolls, Death of a Salesman, and a Tricycle Production of Called to Account.

Shane's Autobiography From Thunderbirds to Pterodactyls was published on 23rd October 2010.

He lives in Hertfordshire with his wife Sheila and enjoys warm and welcome visits from their three sons and their families.

Editor's note:
Shane is unique in the world of 007, besides portraying different characters in the Bond films mentioned above, he provided the voice of Hamilton (the character played by Bob Dix) in Live and Let Die (1973).
