About Chris Corbould:
Chris Corbould (born 1958 in London) has been the Special Effects Supervisor on seven James Bond films, working within the SFX department on a total of thirteen 007 adventures.

Corbould’s Bond career started in 1977 as a technician on The Spy Who Loved Me. After Moonraker (1979) (1979) he began working his way up the ranks and was promoted to senior technician on For Your Eyes Only (1981) and A View to a Kill (1985), then floor supervisor on The Living Daylights (1987), and supervisor for the 2nd Unit on Licence to Kill (1989). In 1995, when Pierce Brosnan took the role of Bond in GoldenEye (1995), Chris worked his first 007 film as Supervisor and has been ultimately responsible for the Special Effects on every Bond film since. Corbould and his team were BAFTA nominated for their work on GoldenEye, Casino Royale (2006) and Quantum of Solace (2008).

Other impressive film credits as Special Effects Supervisor include; The Mummy (1999), Lara Croft Tomb Raider (2001), Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life (2003), X-Men: First Class (2011) samt Christopher Nolans filmer Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and Dark Knight Rises (2012).

In 2011, he was honoured with an Oscar® for Chris Nolan’s Inception.

In 2014, Corbould was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the New Year Honours for services to film.

Most recently, Chris Corbould finished work on Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015) and returned to the Bond franchise as SFX supervisor of SPECTRE (2015).
