Shooting Stars written by British cinematographer Michael Reed (1929-2022), with a foreword by Sydney Samuelson, is a self-published memoir book about his experiences from 43 years in the film and television industry. Amongst James Bond fans, he's well-known as the Director of Photography on On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) starring George Lazenby as Ian Fleming's 007. A film that is considered by many as the best one in the series, partly because of the fantastic cinematography.
Michael Reed passed away after a period of illness on 15th December, 2022, at the age of 93. His 155-page memoir book with pictures from his private archive was published at the end of 2017, but since it was not marketed, it has only reached a limited reader circle.
From Sweden with Love hope that the book will reach more readers and is happy to offer the remaining 60 copies for sale in our
web shop in the Literature category.
Note: The full amount from the book sales will benefit the
Alzheimer’s Research UK according to Mike's wishes.
