Ian Fleming (1908-1964) was a British writer and journalist. After serving as an intelligence officer during World War II, Fleming created his legendary novel character, James Bond. The novels about Bond have sold hundreds of millions of copies and been filmed countless times.
About Ian Fleming's Casino Royale
For
James Bond and the British intelligence service, the stakes could hardly have been higher. At a French casino in Royale-les-Eux, Bond has to bankrupt a Russian agent by outplaying him at the Baccarat table. The man, known as
Le Chiffre, is one of SMERSH's (A Soviet counterintelligence organization) deadliest agents, and he has been a target for MI6 for years.
If Bond plays his cards well, Le Chiffre will most likely retire by his superiors in Moscow. But what happens if he puts the odds on the wrong hand?
Casino Royale from 1953 is the opening novel in the series about the secret agent James Bond. The novel has been filmed several times, most recently in the
2006 film with
Daniel Craig in the role of Bond.
About Ian Fleming's Goldfinger
Auric Goldfinger may be England's richest man - but his wealth is not kept in the bank. He has amassed large stocks of metal, thus attracting suspicion from the superiors at MI6.
James Bond investigates the case and exposes an ingenious system for gold smuggling. But Goldfinger is preparing something even bigger, his most daring conspiracy ever: »Operation Grandslam«. A gold rush so huge that it could take down the entire world economy and put the fate of the Western world in the hands of the Soviet counterintelligence organization: SMERSH.
Goldfinger from 1959 is the seventh novel in the series about the secret agent James Bond. In the iconic
1964 film,
Sean Connery plays the role of Bond.
About Ian Fleming's On Her Majesty's Secret Service
In the aftermath of "Operation Thunderball", the traces of
Ernst Stavro Blofeld - leader of the terrorist organization SPECTRE and also James Bond's arch-enemy - have cooled. And it also has Agent 007's feelings for his job.
The only thing that brings his passion to life again is
Contessa Teresa “Tracy” di Vicenzo, a troubled woman who shares his taste for gamblers and fast cars. She is the daughter of the powerful leader of a European crime syndicate, and her father believes that a marriage to Bond could be the solution to all her problems. Bond is not ready to settle down, but soon falls for the charismatic Tracy.
After tracing SPECTRE to a haunt in the Swiss Alps, Bond reveals the details of Blofeld's latest conspiracy: a plan for biological warfare more grandiose than ever before. Bond must once again save the world - and survive Blofeld's last, very personal, act of revenge.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service from 1963 is the eleventh novel in the series about the secret agent James Bond. In the brilliant
1969 film,
George Lazenby plays the role of Bond.
