The marketing books by Peter Lorenz started as a Christmas present for his closest collector friends. Over the years, he has compiled a digital archive of James Bond marketing material and memorabilia. And he thought it would be nice to have a book that show-cased all the materials sorted nicely per country and film.
So, in autumn 2019, he started to design the first book covering the marketing of Thunderball (1965), sorted all material, did a lot of research about sizes, publishing years and found a nice photo book printer who would print single books. The result was a 120-page book that he sent to five people for Christmas.
The response was very positive, and the book was posted on Facebook. Little did he know that it would evolve to become a series of books. He never thought of the great feedback from the international 007 community, suggested corrections and new material that he had previously never seen before. He add every image and information he receives for these books to keep them as accurate as possible.
