About Raymond Benson:
Raymond Benson is an author, musician and film historian. Between 1996 and 2002, he was the official author of the James Bond novels, am currently the author of 22 published books. He teaches film history at a local college and 1/2 of Dann and Raymond's Movie Club.
He is primarily an author of fiction. He wrote six original James Bond 007 novels, three film novelizations, and three short stories — all published worldwide. Two stories and excerpts from some of the novels were published in six issues of
Playboy Magazine. The James Bond Bedside Companion (1984) was nominated for an Edgar. An anthology of some of his 007 novels, entitled
The Union Trilogy, was published in October 2008, and a second anthology,
Choice of Weapons, was out summer 2010.
