Publication of the French book James Bond au service de Sa Majesté la Suisse by Pierre Hirsinger.
Epic, unique, singular… there are many words to describe
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), one of the most intense and original films of the James Bond series.
Following the
40th anniversary of OHMSS, this book is an invitation to a fascinating submersion in the heart of the Swiss Alps, to meet people who have helped the movie to become the single and lovable film it is.
Through rare evidences and sometimes never-seen documents, the author (after two and a half years of passion and investigation) describes the epic of OHMSS’ Swiss shooting.
You will find that the names of the heroes are not so much
George Lazenby,
Diana Rigg or Telly Savalas but Annelis Stähli, Ruedi von Allmen, Heinz Brunner… and many more!
Price: 33 EUR
About the author:
Born in 1981, Pierre Hirsinger lives in Alsace (France). He has already written many articles about British TV-shows and about James Bond.
A great fan of Ian Fleming’s novels, he is also fond of all the James Bond movies locations. Pierre fell in love with the Swiss Alps several years ago and now he has linked up his two passions by investigating the Lauterbrunnen Valley and meet its inhabitants.
In 2006 (and the following years), he has met, interviewed and listened to people who were lucky to enjoy the shooting of OHMSS in 1968/69.
James Bond au service de Sa Majesté la Suisse is his first book.
