Mirrorpix, the picture library and photographic archive from Daily Mirror, opens their formidable photo archives for the creation of a comprehensive photographic history of the James Bond films. The book is titled Bond: Behind the Scenes and will be published on 26 August 2019 by The History Press who previously published the critically acclaimed Some Kind of Hero: The Remarkable Story of the James Bond Films in 2015 (updated in 2017) and The 007 Diaries (a new edition of Roger Moore's diary from the production of 1973's Live and Let Die) in 2018.
Ever since
Sean Connery donned the tuxedo for the first time in 1962's
Dr. No, every James Bond film has been met with a fanfare of excitement the world over. 007 has become an institution and the most successful film series ever produced.
To mark its ongoing success in the year of its 25th production,
Mirrorpix has opened the archives to their vast collection of behind-the-scenes images of the making of the Bond films.
Daily Mirror photographers were granted exclusive access to the
Pinewood Studios sets of the early Bond productions, and all these images, including the many photocalls and premieres, are included in this comprehensive collection.
Bond: Behind the Scenes is a must-have for all Bond fans.
