Prop Store is really holy ground for the collectors with big wallets and James Bond memorabilia collectors in particular.

Sunday 12th June 2005 proved to be yet another memorable day for this passionate Bond fan and collector. My good friend Ajay Chowdhury and I took of on a little journey of our own heading for the North West territories of London, sounds like a fairy tale story but as usual it was with Bond in focus. Or more likely, how to spend a lot of money if you are not thinking carefully.

The final mission was to enter the facility and incredible London warehouse. To those of who haven’t heard of Prop Store before, check out the website for a treasure chest of genuine screen used film props from all types of films. I consider them to be most respectable and honest dealers.

The facilities are not normally open to visitors but they made an exception for which I was very grateful. The owner, Stephen Lane and his associate Tim Lawes, welcomed us with enthusiasm. They showed us unique props such as:

• One of eight surviving jet boats made by ‘Q’ for the pre-title sequence in THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (1999).

Propstore of London
• The gigantic and remarkable car for THE LEAGUE OF EXTRA ORDINARY GENTLEMEN starring our beloved Sir Sean Connery.

• All costumes from I ROBOT.

• Hundreds and hundreds of costumes/crew jackets/accessories from THE LORD OF THE RINGS and PLANET OF THE APES amongst many recognizable films among lots of other things.

As this wasn’t enough, decorating their office was a figure of ‘Yoda’ from the STAR WARS films, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s outfit from TERMINATOR, a small figure of ‘Gollum’ used in THE LORD OF THE RINGS, and finally, two miniature models of spacemen used in Moonraker (1979) (1979).

So, what happened to the wallet of yours truly? Well, if anyone wonders about that I can tell you that Dame Jude Dench’s chair back from DIE ANOTHER DAY (2002) ended up in Sweden.

For rare James Bond props on sale, I encourage you to check out the official site: Prop Store.
