Our man in America, Steve Oxenrider, met up with Master Woody (Chinawut Sirisompan ) in December 2010. Steve said he was a very nice and pleasant person in real life.

Thohsaphon played one of the ‘kung fu’ students at Hai Fat’s martial arts school in The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). (Normally, he is an instructor in Muay Thai, Thai combat boxing.)

Steve added that Master Woody’s cell phone ring tone is the opening notes from The Man with the Golden Gun theme!

Masters Woody and Toddy (also appeared in TMWTGG) have been friends since childhood. They were both studying engineering at college in Bangkok when they were selected to be in the Bond film. Shortly after making TMWTGG both Masters Woody and Toddy came to England and initially worked as bouncers in London night clubs. Tired of life in the big city, they moved to Oldham, Manchester, England where they started the first muay thai boxing school together.

Master Woody is currently the Deputy Director of the Muay Thai Conservation Center of Thailand.
