Legendary film music composer with 11 James Bond soundtracks under his belt between 1962 and 1987.
I enjoyed the great John Barry and his music during a concert he gave at Royal Albert Hall in London on 28th September 2006.
The concert was titled
An evening with John Barry and it was the first (and unfortunately last) occasion I had the privilege to enjoy his music in person.
It was a good and memorable performance to see him conduct live. On stage, he was joined by the Australian group Visit
The Ten Tenors, whom he praised and pointed out was a group with lot of talents.
Sadly, John passed away in January 2011, read
our obituary.
John never had any official website but I warmly recommend a visit to the unofficial
John Barry - The Man With The Midas Touch for more information about the great man's career.
