Bollinger James Bond 002 for 007
This year, James Bond celebrates 50 years on the silver screen, and the relationship between Bollinger and Bond has lasted nearly 40 years. Therefore, Bollinger will launch a special 007 cuvée to mark the longest co-operation in the film business. For Sweden, 100 bottles of Bollinger's La Grande Année 2002 will be released with a special 007 label on October 1, 2012, each priced 1249 SEK.

This year marks 50 years since the world's most famous agent James Bond, aka 007, appeared on the silver screen for the first time. Meanwhile, around 40 years ago, the British agent acquired a taste for Bollinger, a champagne brand he has stuck to ever since. The cooperation between Bollinger and Bond is the oldest in the film industry, and it is not ruled by money. Instead, it is founded in a deep friendship between the Bollinger champagne house and the Broccoli family who produces the legendary films.

Excitement, car chases, humour, beautiful women - and champagne. This year marks 50 years since author Ian Fleming's 007 was first seen on the big screen, then with Sean Connery in the lead role. This fall, Skyfall (2012), the 23rd film in the official series with the British super agent, now played by Daniel Craig, opens in cinemas worldwide.

James Bond has good taste and even chooses his champagne with care. Since nearly 40 years, he has chosen the Bollinger Champagne. It all started with a meeting between Albert R. ”Cubby” Broccoli, one of the then producers of the James Bond films, and Christian Bizot, then CEO of the champagne house Bollinger. The friendship between Bollinger and the Broccolis has lasted over the years, which has resulted in the world's longest on screen relationship since James Bond still prefer Bollinger over other brands in the famous films.

What a vintage James Bond prefers in Skyfall is not entirely clear, but it is rumoured that he glanced at the Bollinger R.D. 1997. Bollinger's champagne house does not pay for James Bond to enjoy a bottle of Bollinger in the films. It also proves Bollinger rarely know in advance the visibility of their champagne in the movies.

Listed below are the vintages of Bollinger chosen by James Bond in the movies:

About Bollinger:
Bollinger, founded in 1829, is a legendary and traditional champagne house in the elite class. An independent and magnificent style with a large proportion pinot noir, initial fermentation in old oak barrels and an unusually long bottle storage - this gives the classic Bollinger character. Bollinger's worldwide fame owes much to Madame Lily Bollinger. At the age of 42, she inherited one of the district's finest champagne houses from her husband. Lily then spent most of her time managing her husband's legacy, and when she handed over the company in 1971, Bollinger was a thriving business. Thanks to her iron will and professionalism, the company has both expanded its area and its market share.
