Stuntman in 11 James Bond films between 1962 and 1985 incl. NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN
I have had the pleasure of meeting the talented actor/stuntman/stunt arranger George Leech a few times over the years.
George worked on no less than eleven of the Bonds,
Dr. No (1962),
Goldfinger (1964) (1964),
Thunderball (1965) (1965),
You Only Live Twice (1967),
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969),
Diamonds Are Forever (1971),
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977),
For Your Eyes Only (1981),
Octopussy (1983) (1983),
Never Say Never Again (1983), and
A View to a Kill (1985).
The first time was at Pinewood Studios during
A Celebration of James Bond on June 11, 2005.
The second time was during the Starcon Convention at Kempton Park Racecourse in September 2006. (I was working on the event assisting my friend, the wonderful Martine Beswicke.)
George is very friendly and it is always a pleasure to meet him as I really admire the great man who have doubled three different actors on screen playing James Bond including Sean Connery, George Lazenby and Roger Moore.
In 2006, George Leech was inducted into the
Hollywood Stuntmen's Hall Of Fame.
Text written and published by Anders Frejdh in October 2006.
